One, if not THE classic among Handpans. To be found in each of our workshops, the D Kurd offers extensive possibilities to compose and improvise. Six complete triads are playable, which can be complemented rhythmically wonderful by the middle height of the "D"-Ding. This version will give you a vast amount of possibilities to create massive chords and bass lines with the low ranging bottom notes. The high ninth (E5) allows you to add some extra melancholy to your melody.

We are very excited that other makers, including Mag, are now also using Ayasa's stainless steel shells. We find the nice balance between tone stability, clarity and sustain that is supported by this great material. The color is typically brown-reddish and looks super yummy.

Note: All our handpans include now the Yatao softbag. Handpans are unique handcrafted instruments - therefore the surface color and structure varies.

MAG Instruments was born in 2014 in Győr, a small sleepy town in Hungary. Peter, Richard, Aron and Patrik joined forces with the goal to follow their dream and become the first Hungarian Handpan producers in demand worldwide.
Full of enthusiasm and commitment they dedicated all their energy to the development of high quality instruments. After almost three years this process was completed: a sonorous Handpan, balanced harmonics and a unique sound character. The MAG Handpan was born. Besides their love for handpan and making music, the MAG team created the Hungarian Hanpan Gathering (HUG) and organizes it as an annual festival for Handpan enthusiasts from all over the world.

Don't worry, we are used to pack and ship handpans, also overseas! To ensure even more protection each handpan is sold with our Yatao softbag. You can also choose to upgrade to our Namana soft- and harcases, but this is not required for the shipment. Please be aware that shipment to a destination outside of Europe will require customs registration and thus may take a longer time period.
We ship with DHL and insure each package with at least 2500,-€.
