The E Amara 20 is one of the most versatile handpans. The Amara scale sits closely to the well-known Kurd - but with one key difference: the 6th degree of the minor scale is omitted from the top, giving the sound a distinctly fresher, more spacious quality. In the 20-note version, that missing 6th (C) is placed on the bottom side, meaning you can enjoy the full natural minor scale experience across the entire instrument while still preserving the original open Amara character on top.
