Sound and Build

The YataoPan D Kurd 11 Mini is crafted from stainless steel, contributing to a warm and resonant sound. The smaller resonance chamber creates a slightly more focused, compressed tone compared to the full-sized D Kurd. Nevertheless it is bright and clear, with the same expressive range that makes the D Kurd the world's most played handpan scale.

With six complete triads, the D Kurd allows for rhythmic and melodic creativity across all experience levels. The central D ding adds depth and resonance to every note, anchoring the sound with its characteristic warmth.

Every YataoPan is individually played and checked before it leaves us. Instruments that don't satisfy our quality standards are reworked on-site - including retuning, resealing, and quality corrections. If it doesn't sound right, it doesn't get shipped.

Every YataoPan also comes with a worldwide 2-year retuning warranty. If your instrument falls out of tune through normal playing, we'll have it serviced - wherever you are.

Additional Notes!

• Though the patina may fade or change over time, this doesn’t impact the sound or tuning of the instrument.
• To prevent discolouration of any kind, it is necessary to clean the handpan after each use. Salt and water react with the surface and cause discolouration.
• Store your Handpan in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area and not inside your bag!
