No. The D Kurd is the go-to scale for complete beginners, and the course inside Handpan Beginner Bundle starts from your very first note.
440 Hz or 432 Hz — which should I choose?
Both are the same instrument — the YataoPan D Kurd 13 — tuned to a different reference pitch. 440 Hz is the international standard concert pitch: choose it if you want to jam or play together with other instruments like guitar or piano, since they are tuned to 440 Hz too. 432 Hz sits slightly lower; many players perceive it as calmer, warmer and softer, which makes it the popular choice for meditation, yoga and sound-healing settings. Playing feel, layout and price are identical. If you're unsure, 440 Hz is the safe all-round choice.
