Also known as the C# Kurd, the Annaziska is almost identical in structure to the world-famous D Kurd - yet its half-step lower tuning gives it a distinctly different character: more mysterious, more intense, and with a tonal weight that immediately draws the listener in.

The C# Annaziska 19 is particularly recommended for two types of players. First, those who already own a D Kurd and are looking for a complementary instrument: the Annaziska sits perfectly alongside the D Kurd, offering the same logical layout in a harmonically compatible but tonally distinct key - ideal for duo playing or for expanding your own sonic palette. Second, players who simply prefer a lower, more grounded tonality and want an instrument that carries more weight and shadow in its voice.

With 19 notes spread across top and bottom, this version extends the Annaziska far beyond a standard configuration. The generous bottom register delivers a wide pitch range - from deep, resonant low tones all the way into the upper register - enabling complex chord voicings, layered melodic lines, and dynamic passages that shift fluidly between brooding intensity and moments of unexpected brightness.
